I had a little time this week (which was all it took to remake Vogue 1261 in the smaller size). I used some jersey from my stash to recut this. The piece has been ‘maturing’ for some time whilst waiting for the right project. As you can see it is another of my ‘shy, retiring’ choices.
For this incarnation I decided that the fabric was not suitable for the exposed seams (the sample didn’t look good with the back showing), and I didn’t cut a seam in the back piece at all.(I forgot to say in my last post that I had narrowed the sleeves toward the cuff on the red top and I did the same with this one). This made the whole thing a very quick project.
As you can see from the pictures, the red top is wearable but feels ‘soggy’ so I will probably pass this on.
